Today at Bath & Body Works:
Kim places 5 bottles of shower gel on the counter.
Cashier: Oh, I see you're stocking up on these today!
Kim (Avoiding eye contact): I don't want to talk about it. Just sell it to me.
Cashier: Oh! ....Well, just incase, we do have mesh sponges that help make it last a little bit longer...
Kim (angrily): No, thanks.
I felt a little like making a Shane-esque post today. But it was funnier at the store, and if you know my past with the company, that makes it funnier, too. Anyway. If you want a Christmas gift from me that doesn't suck, or isn't a gift card, you better just leave me a note in my comments. That is, if you're one of my regulars. Everyone else can leave their lists for Santa. Because, he reads my comments and all...hey, you better not pout, you better not cry...
Rent Elf and watch it again this year for the holidays. It's JUST as funny as it was last year. Then buy Christmas CDs and drink lots of hot chocolate and eat cookies. It just really puts you in the spirit. You know what else puts me in the spirit? Being off on Saturdays and Sundays for the first time in my working life. YESSSS!!!!
You know. I think Thanksgiving probably hates Christmas and Halloween. Christmas more, though. Think about it: You see tons of Halloween stuff fill the stores. Then when that's over, trees and tinsel take over the aisles. Poor Thanksgiving. It doesn't get the recognition it deserves. And, let's face it, it ain't about the settling of our country. That was a bloody, screaming, disaster. It's about fun, family, and free food. Mmmm. By the way, if you get a chance, watch the All Star Thanksgiving on the Food Network. Even though they make a few things that aren't very traditional, it's great to see all the chefs together. I like it.
Happy Holidays.
